AI Transparency Statement – linuxgamerlife

I am committed to being open and responsible about how generative AI is used. My goal is to create honest, helpful, and high-quality content that people can trust. AI is used as a support tool to improve workflow, accessibility, and creativity, while the ideas, opinions, and final output always remain my own.

I believe it is important to be transparent about where and how AI fits into the creative process. Used properly, it can be a powerful way to enhance communication and make content clearer and more accessible. Used carelessly, it can damage trust. This statement exists to make that boundary clear.

Statement

This channel uses Generative AI as a support tool for writing, accessibility, and small creative tasks. It does not replace my experience, opinions, or judgement. Everything is reviewed and shaped by me before being published.

AI may be used on this channel for the following:

Text

• Drafting scripts, descriptions, and community posts

• Improving clarity for beginner-focused explanations

• Creating subtitles, captions, and translations

• Summarising complex or technical topics in plain English

• Brainstorming video ideas, titles, and thumbnail text

Images

• Some content on the channel contains AI imagery, mainly the Tux alternative and occasionally parts of a thumbnail.

• I manually create the thumbnails and use content under licence from Vecteezy.

• My channel icon is AI generated. It was created using a real photo of me as reference, combined with visual inspiration from my favourite game, ARC Raiders, to form a stylised identity image.

• Any AI imagery is used for creative or illustrative purposes only and is not intended to mislead.

Audio

• I rarely use AI for audio.

• When used, it is only for occasional additional voice overs, such as short supporting lines.

• All main narration and core audio content always comes from me.

• The majority of music is sourced under licence from Epidemic Sounds. Suno has been used for one track, and may be used if something specific is needed.

Video

• AI is not used to generate video content on this channel.

• All video footage, editing, and final production is created manually by me.

AI is used carefully and transparently to support creativity and workflow efficiency. The final creative direction, technical accuracy, and personal perspective always remain my own.

Code / Development

AI is sometimes used to help create Bash scripts or small Linux utilities that support my workflow.

As I am not a developer, I may rely heavily on AI to generate this code. I test the scripts and applications before using them, but I may not fully understand every part of how the code works internally.

AI-generated code is used as a practical tool to build and experiment with solutions on Linux systems. Any code shared publicly reflects tools that I have personally tested and found useful.
